Sarah Potthoff, DC, CKTP, FAKTR, is a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic with a passion for providing non-invasive, drug-free treatment options to musculoskeletal pain and conditions. Dr. Potthoff’s clinical approach focuses on functional reactivation of the musculoskeletal system through mobilization, manipulation, soft tissue techniques and rehabilitation exercises. She addresses spinal alignment, joint mobility, soft tissue integrity and movement patterns to restore health and prevent future injury.
Dr. Potthoff attained her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City and she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Northern Iowa. Dr. Potthoff completed her chiropractic internship at Walter Reed National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. She worked for World Spine Care at the Mahalapye District Hospital in Botswana, Africa and was in private practice in Des Moines, Iowa before joining Casey Health.
Dr. Potthoff applies many clinical concepts from the Motion Palpation Institute, Mckenzie Institute, and The Rehabilitation Prague School with emphasis on Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) and Vojita concepts. She is certified in Kinesio Taping, Graston Technique, and as a Functional and Kinetic Treatment and Rehab.
She specializes in a vast array of conditions including: lower back pain, herniated, bulging and protruding discs; neck pain, headaches, scoliosis, carpal tunnel, myofascial pain, plantar fasciitis, and repetitive strain/sprain injuries.
In her spare time, Sarah enjoys playing basketball, Olympic weightlifting, yoga, outdoor activities, playing the viola, and traveling with friends and family.
