Catherine (Cat) Goodyear is a Physician Assistant who is board certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Physician Assistants, and brings almost two decades of clinical experience to Casey Health.
A native of Southern Maryland, Cat earned a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After back-packing through Europe and living several years in Washington, DC, she headed south again, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Surgical Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Alabama-Birmingham. She has been board certified in Surgery and Medicine and before Casey, practiced Otolaryngology (ENT) and Emergency Medicine. Cat is now part of our Family Practice Team and specializes in Acute Care. She enjoys accommodating same-day appointments and patients with urgent medical needs. Additionally, she serves to increase access to Casey’s healthcare team, by working closely with each clinician to create seamless medical care in our collaborative model.
Married to a Bethesda native and raising two outside-of-the-box boys gives Cat plenty to do in her free time. Her family enjoys raising hens, hiking, camping, and the outdoors in every way. Formerly a Cub Scout Leader and Lead Volunteer for Community Service within MCPS, Cat now enjoys music, reading, writing, and long walks, which help balance her hectic life and keep her grounded to the people around her.
